"I had the pleasure of enrolling my child in Oakwood Academy, and I cannot say enough about how incredible the experience has been. "I wish I could give this daycare 0 stars They threatened to terminate my care cause I was at work when they called saying my daughter had diarrhea when she’s was perfectly fine before she left home. Said if nobody came to get her in 30 minutes they would terminate care. But they text your phone constantly saying the balance you owe but expect their money on time but constantly call every week requesting someone leave work to come get there child"

"Good and not so good. Some of the teachers here are great. They love you and love the children and love their job. Other teachers here, not so much... Some of them are mean (my son told me once that an older teacher pinched him *he had a mark on his body from it*, and that another teacher had called him a baby when he was having a hard day and crying) and some of them are too immature to be aloud to have a class to themselves. I worked at a private school and daycare so I know what to look for and what to expect and this daycare did not meet my expectations ever. Each teacher does not carry a check list of their class, and at other daycare's and school that has always been something that is mandatory; keeping a list of the children you are responsible for and checking them in and out of every room, recess and activity. I don't know how they keep up with the kids, there were days when I'd go in and the teacher wouldn't know where my child was. They watch TV all day long. There was never one moment when I went inside this school that the TV was not on; they even played TV during "nap time." On the after school bus my 1st grade son learned many inappropriate songs played on 106.1. Before the school year began, the owner agreed with me that we could have a special schedule because of our unique family situation and 6 weeks into the school year they informed us that if we didn't pay for full time care that we couldn't come back. *I would have taken my children out of this daycare a year ago, but their father would not agree to take them anywhere else.* So we don't go there anymore. I'm sad because there are some nice teacher there and my kids seemed like it. It is cheaper than most daycares though so you get what you pay for."

"My child went to Oakwood and loved it. The teachers were great, their lesson plans were awesome. She learned so much through the years and I am very grateful for the time we had with them. Unfortunately, we had to move & it has been so difficult to find a caring, loyal daycare like Oakwood."
