Cook Children's Pediatrics Haslet

"2/5/24: I just called to get my baby seen about as she’s having an allergic reaction and was turned away because I won’t allow them to stab her with EVERY single vaccines. I am okay with some of the recommended shots but some I don’t agree with. But because I won’t have all, I am now forced to call around while my child is suffering in the background. 11/2022: I actually do like Dr. See and her nurses, so the staff isn’t the issue. Which is why I continue to use Cook Children’s despite my complaints. I just do not understand WHY this location is still requiring virtual check in. As we were leaving, a couple with a baby strolled in and after they got checked in they had to stroll right back out to the vehicle and wait. It seems needless now especially for parents having to tote kiddos back and forth. For me, I had to explain to my own that we weren’t allowed to wait inside and instead had to sit in the hot car and run the AC. It’s Texas, that should be like a last resort to sit outside in the vehicle since a lot of people do not have working AC and it’s always hot here. Plus our state has been open for a while now. Then there’s the mask requirement. This location still required them. I’m pregnant and already am huffing and puffing because of my extra body on board. I had to pull mine down to catch a breath a few times, so no I don’t agree with forcing masks STILL. There was no choice given, it was a “wear your mask or you won’t be seen” situation. Anyway, rant over."

"Doctors are supposed be caring for patients no matter what, I changed my pediatrician a year ago and wanted to get back here because it’s closer to the house, they won’t take my kid because we changed pediatrician. What did your ego get hurt because we changed pediatricians? It’s ridiculous!, better for us to not get doctor like you !"

"Last year, my pre-teen daughter was kicked out as a patient because we decided to skip vaccinations for the first time in her life. The doc said, she will no longer see my daughter because of this. We even got a formal letter from the office informing us that we aren't patients there anymore. This month, they're sending text message reminders to schedule a yearly exam for my child. Why would I come back after you clearly declined health care for her? I suggest updating your system and not bothering families you yourself decided not to treat anymore."

"Only good things to say about Dr. See and her staff!! Dr. See is absolutely incredible with my two kids (2.5 yrs and 7 mos), the nurses are always friendly and kind, and the front desk staff is great. Just know that the office still uses a virtual waiting room, so you wait in the car instead of in the office."

"Discriminatory against parents who don't vaccinate. They wouldn't even let me make an appointment for my children after asking me if I vaccinate. I have worked in the healthcare industry for almost 10 years and have never seen anything like this. My son has never had problems at any other doctor's office ever. Watch your child go into a deadly heart rhythm after a vaccine at 10 days old and end up in the cardiac icu and then you can discriminate. Shameful. We just moved to the area and this is disgusting."
