"Seeking Simplicity and Transparency: A Gas Station Experience I’ve visited this gas station a couple of times: once when it first opened and more recently. I have a few pet peeves, and unfortunately, this station manages to hit on them. One of my annoyances is the absence of price tags on items for sale. It gives me the impression that the items are overpriced and, when I approach the register, that there’s an opportunity for additional overcharging. Another issue is a complex credit card interface with an excessive number of questions and steps to complete a transaction. When I’m checking out, I’m looking for simplicity and efficiency, not a twenty-question quiz. Buc-ee’s manages to get these things right, which is why I’m willing to go out of my way to visit one if it’s nearby. Given these inconveniences, I don’t plan on stopping at this particular gas station again. Here’s hoping for more transparency and user-friendly experiences at other stops."
