"I had issues with this practice from my first visit and should have trusted my gut and changed offices. Long story short, I had to convince the PA (Grimes) to do a scope on me because she was not convinced something was actually wrong. She was dismissive until the scope revealed I had severely infected paralingual tonsils. Then fast forward to surgery, the surgeon (Butler) was 45 minutes late and when he arrived he literally goes "remind me why you are here". It felt like a comedy skit. I had an extremely difficult recovery and even called in concerned due to having to be on pain medication longer than I anticipated. They were again dismissive. I arrive for my follow up today and learned that my surgery had multiple complications that were not shared with me. The complications accounted for my difficult recovery and concerns I called about post op. I understand complications occur and cannot be predicted, but they should have been shared with me or my partner to better prepare for a longer and more difficult recovery. Then to top it off, they told me I owed additional money for surgery that I had already paid prior to them completing it and the news was delivered by their unfriendly financial coordinator. I would like to say the nurses there are extremely kind and the surgery center they utilize is great, but would not recommend anyone use their office for their ENT needs."

"Eh, Dr. Schwab spent more time looking out at the window, felt rushed and as though he didn’t have time for my concerns but they had no issue collecting that $112 co-pay… it was a waste of time and $ coming here. Little explanation of my symptoms and longevity of my breathing. I’m sad and disappointed as I’m still having breathing issues from my broken nose (again not the issue as it’s just fine looking) but all he could say was here’s a list of allergy medications. They spend years on education just to get you in and out of the office as fast as they can…although he did suggest I could see the allergy department as if it felt like they wanted to see how much $$$ he could make off me during this visit. I came for my breathing, not if I have allergies, I’ve lived here long enough to know. Dr Schwab do better! Two stars cause at least the front desk was nice. Typical and robotic response: we’re sorry, please call us, hope we can serve you better in the future - how about your office manager give me a call… you can take my money but cant figure out how to pick up the phone?? #MakeItRightAustinENT"
