La Petite Academy on W. 18th St.

"I had my 3 kids going there. My daughter had bruises in between her legs and they were telling me it was because of a toy that she was jumping on. It scared me made me feel that someone was doing some harm to her because they were in between her legs. I gave them extra clothes just in case of an accident. Why is it every time I came to pick up my child. He was in his second pair of outfit That let me know that they were not watching them right. I always had a bag of urination clothes given back to me Everytime. So I looked for another daycare. Please be Very Careful leaving your precious ones here."

"We had a wonderful experience with our infant son at La Petite. There was nothing fancy about it, but the staff was incredibly warm and caring. I truly felt that all of the staff cared for our child, not just the primary room caregivers. The only reason we left was to join big brother at a different daycare."

"If i could give 0 stars I would. My daughter attended for about a month and I thought she would be kept safe due to the livestream camera access & what seemed to be a safe environment. However, after granting her family members access to the camera systems, we witnessed one teacher in particular dragging my daughter by the arm, hitting students, and constantly rough housing with the toddlers. When I raised the concern with the director nothing was done about this. I was told that the cameras can be misperceived. My daughter cried every day that it was time to go to daycare! She didn’t do that with the other school she had previously attended and they definitely weren’t the best either. Further, when I questioned the teacher about her behavior I was painted out to be a threat. I never once raised my voice or alluded to hurting this teacher during our conversation. However, the situation was treated as such. If you haven’t been able to get in for an appointment, great. Save yourself the worry and go somewhere your children will be safe. This isn’t the place."

"I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful care my child has received at La Petite in the Heights. Our daughter has been full time in the infant room since she was 12 weeks old, and she’s currently 9 months old. Our baby is so happy to see her teachers and every day when we drop her off. She has hit every milestone sooner than expected due to the time they take to work with her. They have a 4:1 ratio, cameras, and send lots of updates and pics throughout the day via their app. When I peek in at the camera I see the teachers really engaged with the babies - if they aren’t changing or feeding someone, then they’re on the ground playing with the kids or reading to them. Ms. Fayzeh, Ms. Cindy, Ms. Julie, Ms. Jackie, Ms. Theosha, Ms. Nicole, Ms. Krissy – literally every person I’ve encountered at this school has been wonderful and has shown us how much they love taking care of our baby. As a parent it’s so hard to pick a good daycare and to know that you’re doing the right thing – I just wanted to leave this review to offer other families piece of mind when deciding where to send their little ones."
