iFLY Indoor Skydiving - Houston Memorial

"A great experience, first time i ever went flying, I can't even describe it to you! Sadly you can't bring a body cam since we believe the wind would blow it off but hey! It was still the best place to show kids what its like to fly! And great for school field trips as well!"

"Came in on a Monday evening for my first time flying, for my birthday. This was soooo much fun. Is it pricey? Yes. On your first couple of flights, you do indeed only go about waist/chest high on the instructor. And you do pay extra to “high fly”. All that being said, I feel as though it was worth the money. The instructor was fabulous, and very good at explaining everything. He also provided really helpful feedback after my first attempt, and I appreciated that because it doesn’t feel natural at all when you’re in the wind tunnel so it helps to have tips on how to position your body. I loved it so much we bought a return package of 4 flights. It’s worth noting that the return vouchers to come back are pretty well discounted. Quincy was so awesome, he made this fun and easy! We will for sure be back!"

"The "skydiving" itself is a unique, fun experience; most of my kids and their friends had a great time, and it seemed like the other families there that day did as well. That said, as a party venue, it leaves a lot to be desired. It's a costly package compared to the many gyms and trampoline parks offering similar deals, and while you'd expect indoor skydiving to cost more than a room full of trampolines, you'd hope the party experience would be up to at least the same (modest) standard. Well, it isn't. The staff members at the site weren't familiar with the terms of our package. We were told to clear out by 1pm, despite reserving the room until 2pm. We were given a hasty, aggressive up-sell re: a certain skydiving experience at the last minute, and ended up double-paying: the package we paid for already included the feature. We were told, at the door, that no staff member acts as "party host" - you're on your own, and it's up to you to properly manage timing, getting your guests to and from the skydiving area at the proper moment. Any needs, issues, or questions require interrupting the staffers at the front counter, two floors down from your party room. The room, too, is a little shabby; the big, blue wall that greets your guests is covered with large chunks of missing paint and drywall. The paper towel dispense on the wall was empty. There were numerous other annoyances. In the end, the staffers - who were nice, polite people - gave our 7 party guests free T-shirts, presumably as an apology for the issues. That was a nice gesture and we appreciated it. Bottom line: the party was a success, but when you're planning one of these things, you're looking for a place that makes it easy and cuts down on your stress. IFly isn't the place for that."

"My son really loves to go to IFLY for his birthday. The instructors are always friendly and knowledgeable about flying. They are courteous and give precise instructions. My son leaves with a smile every visit. I make sure that I take full advantage of the lower prices they offer after the session is over. This allows me to save money and have tickets already paid for and in hand for our next visit. I would recommend this place to family and friends."
