Santikos Entertainment New Braunfels

"Don't often leave reviews but when it's hot as heck turn the AC on. My wife and I watched two movies (one with friends) and both theaters were almost unbearably hot. Wish we would have just left instead of eating ice and fanning ourselves with my baseball cap to keep cool. It's a shame too since we have always preferred this Santikos, love the popcorn and drinks, to the other theaters around but not interested in paying to sit in the 9th circle of hell to watch a movie again."

"I was told that leaving this review was the best way to get recognition for an employee by his/her superiors so, here it is.....I just want to say what an incredible experience I had at this movie theater today. I am new to this area and I have never been to this theater before. I Have worked in customer service my entire life and it always stands out to me when somebody is helping me not just because it's their job but because they genuinely enjoy helping people. Right off the bat, Manny Pena was there to guide me through retrieving my tickets that I had purchased online for myself and my two young girls. We were looking at the menu options trying to figure out what to purchase on the kiosk when he informed us that we should not purchase items on the kiosk today because they were having a $5 special. That right there was just the first wonderful encounter. I had read about this special online before going to this theater and online, it said we could play for an hour in the arcade for free. On our way out of the theater, I saw Manny still standing there to assist people and I asked him if this was accurate and where the arcade was. He informed me then that the arcade was still being built in this particular location and he genuinely seemed disappointed to have to tell me this with my two little girls right there. He did apologize and I told him it's okay, it's my fault for not doing the proper research beforehand. He then told me to just stay where I was for a moment and he would be right back. He came back with three 30 minute arcade cards for the cibolo location. You can just tell when somebody really genuinely wants to help you and I absolutely saw that in him. I can only imagine that he's an amazing manager to work for. I would be shocked if that was not the case because his customer service skills are through the roof. I hope that he gets recognized the way that he should for this review. You never know what somebody is going through in their life and his kindness completely changed my entire day. He was wonderful. Thank you Manny. You do an amazing job and you really truly made my day."

"Just skip the New Braunfels Santikos and head over to the Cibolo Santikos or the Schertz EVO theater. You will have a much better experience! This is the worst managed theater and worst in the Santikos fleet. Can't believe the kids drink is the same as the "regular" drink.... If I go to the Cibolo location, the kids drink is this size and New Braunfels "large" is the regular size. Concession sizes are not standardized and feels like inflation has decreased the sizes up cups at this location. Also, beware they charge extra for BBQ sauce for no apparent reason, even if you don't want or like ranch, ketchup, or honey mustard. Dipping sauce should be FREE if you already offer sauce with the chicken tenders. Not sure why the concessions stand sizes are not standardized between theaters.... I'll go to Cibolo and skip this location because I get a better bang for my buck and have a better movie experience at different Santikos or other competitor theaters in New Braunfels and Schertz."

"First time here and most of this place seems really nice. The staff was very nice, the pop corn is self-serve (so I was uncertain but it is really good), the seats are clean and comfortable recliner seats. The theater was a tad cold but no big deal. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the bathroom smells like a truck stop. It was actually quite surprising considering how everything else was."

"Really great experience. Great recliners. Self service popcorn machine was clean and the popcorn was warm and airy to perfection. I was also hesitant about the self service sofa machines but they were clean and there were enough to serve the crowd Santikos New Braunfels has craft beers Legacy Lager, and specialty cocktails; Santikos' Legacy Bar, patio for hanging out with friends; FREE REFILLS from the Self-Serve Popcorn Machines and Freestyle Coca-Cola Machines; cup holders that keep the beverages cold"
