Wild Fork

"Sometimes it is very difficult to find wild games in a big city like Houston. Wild Forks has pretty much everything except moose meat. I normally buy lamb chops at Costco but it seems that Wild Fork has it cheaper. I was really surprised. They have ostrich meat and alligator meat. I am not a big fan of alligator meat. It is nasty tasting. Taste like chicken in petroleum. Not sure what a big bird like ostrich taste like but I would assume it would be very tough because of their strong muscular body so I avoided ostrich. They also have a good selection of exotic seafood. I bought the swordfish steak to try. I also bought the seafood mix with NO FAKE crabmeat which is completely surprising to find in a store at a very affordable price. I love how they have section for specials and reduced price on certain overstocked meat. The staff is extremely friendly and love to share their experience or opinion on wild game meat."

"Welcome Wild Fork! Though the market is small, they have whatever you need to create a sumptuous meal. All the meats and seafood are packed with love and care, and they are displayed neatly. I love how organized the market is; it cuts down unnecessary pacing in front of the fridges. Wild Fork is definitely one of my staple markets for meat and seafood."

Plus every item is frozen & perfectly portioned so it’s up to you when you want to use it & I love that as a busy millennial who doesn’t always want to cook.
