"Mashallah, it’s one of my favourite grocery store and restaurants in H town, i like to come when I have a chance on Saturdays and Sundays for ‘Rayook’ Iraqi breakfast Which have the delicious cuisine like ‘Kuba sarrai -kebba , Kahi wa ghaymar -crispy bread with cream with sweet syrup if you like , Makhlama - ground lamb with eggs or without - lahmbajeen- ground beef on top of pita- and also salads and soups need to ask for them:. I recommend the Iraqi kebab, tikka, kass-lamb shawarma , and also you can do shopping for Iraqi bread -Samun and pastry’s :) I wish I live in H town, but I live in ATX, but I come to visit my relatives and friends in H town:."

"Positives: Authentic vibes and food. I got chicken shawarma , chicken tawook and beef shawarma. beef shawarma served in Iraqi bread is a huge portion. For $7.99 it had more meat than what I find in platters these days costing $15. Meat was marinated and I got lil chunks of that fat drizzle. although I would go for saj khubz.. the bread was allright. chicken shawarma again hit 8/10 on taste. Not so positive: Google translate is your friend here. there was a queu of receipts at the shawarma section and folks were crawling left, right and on top of each other. changing their order..grabbing what they could just to get out. the bread was cold, so the fat on the sandwich quickly turns chewy and meat goes stiff. There is a sign in Arabic that asks to take permission before taking pictures.. ironically I figured that out via Google translate lens ..at the right moment. if you don't speak Arabic.. just chill..avoid the embarrassment the other clientele are causing... If you don't speak Spanish you won't get much help at the meat section either. I learnt the spanish word for goat today..."Carne de cabra.." It's tricky to sound like a goat..as he kept pointing to the lamb.. fun.. Don't feel insulted about the attitude.. and folks rolling their eyes.. it's all within the "authentic" experience. Marhaba!"
