"I don't know why this place shows as "temporarily closed" on Google. It kinda looks like it is closed because it is so run down, but it's definitely open. I stopped in yesterday because it was the only place convenient on my way to my next stop. This place is dirty looking, shady and down right scary! I was afraid I was gonna get jacked just walking in or maybe never make it out alive. Okay, okay... that's a little dramatic, but seriously, it is a place I do not care to venture again. Any store with slot machines can't be good. I mean, aren't they illegal?? It's definitely an older store (maybe from 1970's?) and probably has many stories to tell. It smells like people have been smoking inside for years. To top it all off, the prices are crazy high! I purchased two 4 packs of Sutter Home Pinot Grigio wine (the ones with the little bottles). $16.59 was my total! Those run $5.99 each at Total Wine. Outrageous pricing for such a dumpy eye sore. This shop is just south of the freeway nestled between million dollar homes in a tiny 3 store strip center. I'm very surprised it still holds a place in this well to do part of Houston. Just go less than one 1/2 block further and you will see beautiful homesteads with nicely manicured yards."
