"We come here for food occasionally. There's a good size parking lot (unpaved) which is rare for anywhere close to downtown. The area has recycled/donated kids toys, but the grass area is full of stickers so not the best for kids rolling and falling as they run around. There seems to be a form of community garden here which is cool, but it seems mostly forgotten. One of the best food trucks is here, Nissi Vegmex, and other vegan trucks come and go. I've never seen it busy here, even on the weekend, so I don't know what that's all about. But we only come during the day so maybe it's busier at night? Tip for visitors and delivery drivers - the parking lot access is in the back on the opposite street of where GPS takes you, one street north. Free parking in the lot and on the street back there."
"I was on Saturday at Kenny Dorham's Backyard enjoying an evening of live outdoor music as part of the International Grooves series. This time they had music from South America by Duo NorteSur and Hora Once. It was a great performace. Duo NorteSur plays a mixture of Latin-American, Andean, world and classical music. Hora Once plays Nuevo and Classical Tango, Latin folk music, and world music. At the end of the evening they played together and it was amazing."
