Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) is a renowned musical theatre company located at 800 Bagby Street in Houston, Texas. Offering a diverse range of productions, TUTS is known for its high-quality performances and dedication to showcasing top talent in the performing arts.
The 2024/25 season at TUTS promises to be a spectacular one, featuring a lineup of exciting shows including the National Tour of Dear Evan Hansen, a new production of Little Shop of Horrors, and the highly anticipated regional production of Disney's Frozen. Directed and choreographed by TUTS Artistic Director, Dan Knechtges, this new staging of Frozen will bring the magic of Arendelle to life in a whole new way.
In addition to these mainstage productions, TUTS also offers special events such as The Ugly Xmas Sweater Musical and the first-ever TUTS Texas All-State Musical. The latter brings together talented high school students from across Texas to perform in a fully produced stage musical, with the first production being Les Misérables School Edition.
With support from grants from the City of Houston, the Texas Commission on the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts, TUTS continues to provide exceptional entertainment and educational opportunities for audiences of all ages. "Great as always. We saw Ain't Too Proud. We went witb a group of 8 bought tickets just a few weeks in advance and were still able to get seats together. We had Cheap Seats in the Galery but the sound and view were still great. Staff was very cordial and helpful as always. I recommend at intermission check out the balcony on the main level. After Dark it is my favorite view of the city."
