"I hired them to build a garage in Galveston. They changed the specifications from the contract when they pulled the permit from the city. The deficiencies in the construction is endless. I am in litigation against this company"

"They built a garage for us. They did a great job and obtained all building permits and inspections. We would recommend them to anyone."

"We hired WDL to build a garage apartment on our property in the city of Houston, and the process was a debacle from the start. We understand that the permitting process can be cumbersome and difficult but it took over 2 months for WDL to finally obtain the permit for our build, and the various reasons for failing departmental review were what I would consider unacceptable (failing to include smoke detectors in plans, no soils report, insufficient engineering details, etc.) The "demo crew" that showed up to our house was two old dudes, a sawzall, and a ladder, and they proceeded to strip all scrap-able material from the structure and leave. They are the classic bad contractor--charge the owner a large lump sum price and then use cheap, low quality sub contractors to maximize their margins. They were slow to act, constantly pushed for money up front and ultimately we chose to cut our losses and terminate the contract (after a very nasty back and forth with the Owner, Mr. Wilson). I would plead with anyone considering this firm to do your research and make sure you have an ironclad contract with a detailed scope of work and a way OUT."
