"Prompt and friendly service. The prices here are competitive with and just as good as the prices at home depot. (I always check) It's nice not to have to leave Springtown for lumber and hardware. I recommend shopping here first."

"I visited this store within this last few days and just wanted to bring it to the attention of whoever within this business checks reviews that the store is poorly ran & operated. If for the only reason being that the manager Wilson talks to & treats the employees in the store awful. I overheard him telling one of the older ladies that she doesn’t know anything & is an idiot. He walks around with his chest stuck out, makes sure everyone knows who he is & just has a poor attitude towards everyone. I don’t know about other people but I don’t spend my hard earned money in places that allow their upper management to act or behave in this manner. Do better Hometown Building Center…..Do Better!!!"

"First off, the website is absolute junk. It will NOT tell you what items are available/in stock at the store. As far as what they carry overall and the pricing, I have no clue, I went in for one specific set of items that the website said Hometown sells, but not if this store carries it. So I drove half an hour one way just to see. As I type this, I realize I could have probably called. Either way, I searched the store to no avail, then finally asked someone. Turns out what I needed was something they were about to stop carrying and was in the back. So the young lady working there took me in the back just to see if it was what I wanted.Turns out it was what I wanted. Kind of. It was the more expensive version of what I wanted but that is neither here nor there. Once it was determined that this was indeed the 10 foot section of gutter I wanted, I was allowed to take it to the register to pay for it. So I brought it from the back, through the door into the store, just me and a 10 foot section of gutter vs a door. I then paid for this section of gutter, and as a reward I got to fight the front door, all by myself, while carrying a 10 foot section of gutter. That's really my only complaint. My arms aren't long enough to open and keep open a door while carrying a 10 foot section of gutter. Everything else was just your basic trip to a hardware store."
