"This is now called the Brown Street Market.. I was in the area, and was craving some of their olives, the new owners left enough of the old memories mixed with new to make all new memories. I picked up my olives, pistachios, almonds, and dates...they have a combination of Middle Eastern foods and authentic Mexican wares, and foods.. I loved the old owner Charlie, and will miss seeing him, (I have a vivid memory of him being kind to a young boy, needing school supplies to finish his homework and didn't have enough to pay, I told him I would put in the rest, and when I reached out to give him the money he wouldn't take it, said he got it). El Paso can now fall in love with the new owners, too. Thank you for letting history be cherished in that neighborhood. Hey, maybe get a photo of Charlie and hang up where the olives and cheese are!!! I need to pick up a few bottles of Rose Water! See you soon!"

"I have been meaning to stop by since I moved into the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the place was closed/locked up despite the posted hours that said it was supposed to be open. Too bad, I like to support small local businesses. Maybe next time. If I remember."
