"Not sure how I ended up here except we were wanting peking duck. The duck itself was ok. The pancakes were sticky and falling apart and the hoisin sauce ratio scant. We also ordered egg rolls and their signature fried rice. The egg rolls were dense and gooey and the fried rice was um interesting. We found out when checking out that they charge extra for more pancakes. Not impressed."

"Good place to have taste of sichuan without drivng all the way to north dallas. The taste is pretty close. The twice cooked pork had a nice smoky flavor. The mapo tofu had the right sauce consistency and the tofu did not lose the shape. Chonqking chicken was extermely fresh and crunchy coming from the hot oil and it was delightful to eat. Would go really well with a beer. The beef with pickeld vegetables was a surprise, given the amount of tender beef slices that came with it. Still kinda mad I had to pay for the bowl of rice. Came back a second time to get the special fish. It was expensive (anything market price is ) except when did tilapia become a luxury market price item.. Anyways for almost 40$, it was a disappointment. Fish was small and had very little meat on it. The texture was kinda off, a little mushy but it didnt taste fishy at least"

"Place to go for Sichuan food. Love the water boiled beef and slice beef and tendon. Food is the right level of spicy and numbing. And the price is right."

"Pretty yummy but not spicy enough? As frequent eaters of Szechuan food, my husband and I were impressed by the portions and flavor, but wish each dish was much more spicy! Most of the other Szechuan restaurants I've been to let you customize the spiciness of each dish, so we were surprised not to be asked our preference here. We ordered the beef in spicy sauce, boneless chicken fry, and spicy beef noodle soup. Our favorite was the beef in spicy sauce. The boneless chicken fry was also tasty but needed more spice and peppercorns. The beef slices in my spicy beef noodle soup were quite overcooked and tough to chew. We also found it weird that none of the spicy dishes come with rice, so those are added orders (only $1 a serving though). All in all, we enjoyed Taste of Chengdu for it's flavors, big portions, and atmosphere."

"Taste of Chengdu is a quiet restaurant with good food. It was not too busy when I visited the establishment. Some of the menu items here are spicy and have a kick to it. The cumin lamb was top quality. The chili and spices used in the dish were just the perfect amount. The black fungus dish which was basically wood ear mushrooms was good. The tripe was spicy and interesting. The service there was cordial and prompt. It is a bit limited on the beverage options. Would recommend this restaurant."
