"My first contact with Art Direct was fantastic. May was so patient and helpful while we worked through determining what we needed and how to solve our unique situation. I brought in an oil painting my elderly mother purchased in Paris while our family was stationed in Europe years ago. The painting has been with our family since the 1960's. My issue was with the ornate frame I think was custom made for the painting. My daughter's cat (evidently) thought it could jump (and stand) on the top of the frame knocking the painting and frame to the floor. Thankfully, the painting was not damaged but the frame was. I thought the frame was totalled but May, acknowledging my sentimental desire to preserve the painting and frame as a "unit", offered to attempt restoration of the frame as a "plan A" solution. "Plan B" will be a custom frame chosen from the extensive frame choices available at Art Direct. I will follow up with an additional review after all is said and done, but based upon our initial impression we have every confidence the end result will be 1st class. We certainly felt pampered by May's above and beyond approach to customer service. As of now I couldn't be happier with Art Direct. **08.22.2023 - Follow up post - Well after a lengthy and complex repair, we have our fully restored frame & painting back. No complaints about the repair time. It was complex (see damaged frame photos). We could not be more pleased. I have included after photos of the frame / painting hanging in prominence in our living room. It's beautiful!!! Thanks to the entire staff of Art Direct. Don't take your frame or restoration artwork elsewhere. These guys are the best!!"

"I went to Art Direct to stretch a very large canvas (about 8ft tall) which there aren't that many places in Austin that do that. The piece came flawless and the they did a very good job. But what makes me to go back there in future is their customer service. Brent was extremely friendly and helpful making the experience much better!"

"Art Direct is an awesome business. I went to their new showroom/framing shop with a previously framed art piece. The art had been framed by an online framer that promised hinge mount tape, which is an archival mounting process that allows valuable limited edition art to be more easily unframed. Unfortunately, when I opened the frame I found that the art was taped down with double-sided tape to the foamboard and couldn’t be removed. The guys at Art Direct took a look, and offered to help with removing the art piece from the foamboard. They called the next day and let me know they were able to get it removed. It had taken 3 1/2 HOURS to remove, but it was done with absolute care and for an amazing price. They went above and beyond for me. My wife came to the second visit when I picked up the art piece and loved the collection of frames that they have on display, and they have HUNDREDS of more framing options beyond the ones displayed. They also print gorgeous art on metal and have a CNC machine for all kinds of custom work. The framer that helped with my project has more than 20 years experience and really loves all the art he gets to work with. I’ll definitely be back to support this business as I frame future pieces. Keep an eye on them, they’re just getting started with local framing and will be - already are to me - the best place in town to visit for framing."
