"There are few places that scream black excellence, and even fewer that I leave a review for, but Papa franks is one exception. I've been coming here since the old location on hwy 29, and the only time I go anywhere else for a haircut is if im stuck out of the state for too long. While I can't speak for every hair type, if you have black hair, no one will do you up the right way like the crew at Papa franks will. I've had the pleasure of mainly having 4 professionals work on my dome piece over the years, but Nic has been tried and true for the better part of 6 years. He gave me my first haircut after 4 years of growing and gave me the haircut i had in my wedding day. Sad to be moving and leaving this place behind as well as the best haircuts I've ever had, but I know I'll be back whenever I can. Thanks for the years and the memories gents!"

"This place was 100% not worth the $40 I spent.Calvin was nice and all, but I asked for a low blade fade and got anything but that. He knicked my ear during the hair cut (it’s pretty obvious too and I never received an apology or “hey sorry about that”), messed this fade up so bad that I’m gonna have my wife just shave my head now so it doesn’t look stupid. He left patches of hair by my ear (which I already cut off), pretty much the worst haircut I’ve had to pay that much for. With these prices it’s almost better going to SportsClips and waiting an hour. Geez. Won’t be back here. The only reason I left was because my Dad and my 3 young kids were in the car waiting the whole time. If he hadn’t taken so long I would’ve made him shave my head and honestly not paid for anything. But what’s done is done. Just a buyer beware."

"The atmosphere was great the barbers were super attentive. When it came down to the actual haircut I was left less than impressed. I took my 8 year old son to get cleaned up before school and he left with a huge patch of hair missing an uneven bangs and a fade. I was shocked the price I paid 70 bucks for 2 haircuts and a beard trim and it look. ****Update***** Nik was super responsive and personally took the time to reach out and fixed the issues. Thank you!"
