"When I visit my mama in Houston (I live in California) I often take her for a hair cut with Anita here in the same salon as Efi (Memorial Hair Salon). The last time I was in with her, I asked who the waxing expert was, and Efi happened to be in that day, so I made an appt for a few days later. Since going through menopause with my fluctuaing hormones, the hairgrowth on my body has definitely changed, and where there was none (due to laser treatments about 20 years ago), now there is some, alas. I've tried living with it, and just - no. I wax my own legs (lower) and underarms, by the way, but there are certain areas I simply cannot do well. Also important to me - I really felt like I wanted a professional with her own business, not one of these wax salons run like a factory, you know what I mean? With Efi, I was not disappointed! She was exactly what my heart and body needed, especially not having been to a waxer in over 20 years - it's such an intimate experience. She's gentle, kind, efficent, effective, thorough, clean, respectful - every single thing you would want from a waxing exprerience. I will visit her every time I'm in Houston for my waxing needs. She was conversational, but not excessively chatty. She focused and did an excellent job.
