Black Laboratory Brewing

"Excellent little brewery an easy walk from our hotel. We had a flight then the Vanilla Joe, all very tasty. But what put this over the top was the food! The two pizzas we ordered were fantastic, and we're pizza snobs from the Northeast. Ordered a pepperoni & the situation. Wood fired, buttery crust, thin & crispy with a good bite, it was outstanding! We sat outside with our dog & will happily return if in the area."

"Came here with a friend for dinner and drinks. We brought our dogs with us and sat outside. Their ordering is convenient for those that come alone with pups, as you order through a QR code attached to the table. I ordered the Grape hard Soda and the chicken sandwich. The drinks came out fast, but barely any interaction with the staff - they acknowledged we had our dogs but we had to ask for water for them and the waiter seemed puzzled why we would ask. After a bit we got our food, came out looking good, but again the waiter - didn’t bring any napkins over and my friend ordered wings. We had to wait until we saw someone - flag them down and ask for napkins. My friend liked her wings, my sandwich was pretty good the chicken was beyond dry though. We ordered one more drink each, ciders, hers came out and the waitress asked if we needed anything else and I was like yeah I ordered a cider at the same time she did roughly five minutes ago and haven’t gotten it. She looked puzzled and confused, walked off. And took another five minutes to get my cider. At the end of the night for one person who ordered a grape hard soda and cider and the chicken sandwich was almost $40 bucks. The drinks were good but the food left some to be desired. And the wait staff - definitely needs improvements. The parking lot is small and fills up fast so get there early and take a smaller vehicle if possible."

"Nice little place. Parking is lacking, but you can park across the street so not really an issue unless that "lot" is full as well. Beers are good. Styles are represented well. Their IPAs are solid and are very drinkable. They pair well with the pizzas they are tossing. Had a couple pizzas, One pepperoni and one Shrooms. The shrooms was really good. The pepperoni was good, but came out really, really greasy. Used a few napkins to mop up the excess grease. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I was given a sticker but I can't get it to separate so I can put it on my beer fridge! I'll pop in when I'm in town to grab another 4 pack of something."

"This place is very solid. During busy hours, parking can be tricky because their parking lot is very small and narrow. I enjoy the ambiance, it's very clean and casual with people playing games at their tables. Regarding the beer, it is just okay, which is why I gave it 4 stars. My husband and I love IPAs and truly, it's been hard to find really good IPAs anywhere in Texas so not a direct knock to this place. They had a very delicious sour though and I would recommend that! I will say, I think their pizza is probably one of the best in town. We will absolutely be back and I am ordering a pizza, 100%!"

"We still have yet to be back at Black Laboratory. My partner and I had such a great time - we absolutely loved the layout and enjoyed the outside patio which is shaded and open. I practically geeked out at their creative idea with using graduated cylinder beakers and flasks! Service was extremely great. Staff were welcoming and overwhelming friendly. I hope Black Laboratory ups adds more stouts to their selection."
