"I visited the salon yesterday and walked in with my own polish. I wanted to use one that I had purchased specifically for a wedding. I said right away that I wanted gel manicure only. As I was washing my hands, my technician walked by and said “you want dip“to which I replied “no, gel.” As I sat down, she placed the sample colors for dip in front of me. I again rep replied “no, I want this polish” and placed my purchase on the table. It was Sally Hansen Miracle Gel and I thought I would try it since the color was perfect. She and the manager, sitting beside her, picked it up, looked at it, and set it back down without a word. At this time I had a red gel on my fingernails, which she began to remove with the little drill. I had never had this done just for gel polish. Next she applied some clear polish goop on all my fingernails not mentioning it was an acid of some sort or at least it felt like it. I accidentally got it on me in two places, and it burned my skin like crazy. Immediately! She said, just don’t move, never telling me what it was or that it would burn me. I found out the hard way. She continue to prep my nails and say “you want dip?” to which I kept saying No. She wanted to place a tip on a little finger nail which had broken off. I said no it was fine. She asked what color. I had to tell her again I wanted my polish. She got up and got the colors for the dip. She began to work on my nails and I had to ask her if she was going to cut them down as they were way too long. I said, I wanted them fairly short. She got out the clippers and basically cut off just the tips of my nails. I had to say no shorter please. As things continued she kept prepping for dip and I kept telling her no I didn’t like dip. Next she actually got out The box and proceeded to look for a tip for my small finger. I had to tell her yet again.NO TIP! We went back-and-forth about dip and polish and I was getting angry. I am not one to make a scene in public. Eventually, I just pointed to a color on the dip color chart, and silently seethed. She ended up putting seven layers of dip and topcoat etc. on my nails. I also had to tell her twice more to cut them shorter. She buzzed most of my cuticles with the finishing drill and I actually jerked back four times when she cut me with the drill. The last time I jerked my hand back and pulled my cuticles away to show her how to do it. She just smiled. The end of the story is I was bullied by a technician as the manager watched. I ended up spending double what I had planned and hated my nails. I now have thick nails that look fake, and was very angry when I left. I am not writing this review out of vengeance, but to let people know what happened to me. If she didn’t understand enough English to complete my order, she shouldn’t be working. I will not return to Wanderlust. There are way too many other nail spas to choose from. MJ Update: I tried to call the manager today since I had cooled down but was told to call after 4p when he would be there. I called back in a few minutes and got a Verizon message. A 3rd call when unanswered. Avoid Wanderlust."

"This place is nice and clean but the few times I have gone in the guy at the front desk either will tell me they cannot take me because they are all booked or all busy and turn me away…The door says walk ins… at least should offer for me to wait like other nail salons I’ve been to in the past. Despite their service I still kept on coming back here for the ambient but now I’m glad I found another salon near by whose service is totally different and very welcoming. Will not be coming back here."

"Did a mani (dip) - pedi (shellac) The nail technicians did a fantastic job! Loved that as soon as you walk into the shop, you are directed to wash your hands before you touch anything. Love my nails, loved the flower wall! I’ll definitely be returning.. So far, been 3 times now, the 3rd time I also got eyelash extensions. It took a lot longer than I anticipated but looked great in the end"

"The experience was not great at all. I usually go to a different nail place closer to my house but today I chose to go to this one since a friend had recommended it. Customer service was not the best but it was also not the worst. I asked for dip powder nails. As soon as the lady started on my nails she could not get the tips on and kept having to take them off and put them back on again. I didn’t say anything because I thought it could be because my nails were very curved. She then proceeded to do the dip powder and i felt like she did not know what she was doing, she was not very well trained at all. The bonding component for the dip powder was sticky and almost completely died out, but she still continued to use it which cause my nails to have bumps in them. When she saw the bumps forming she kept trying to fix them with her fingers which made the job extremely bumpy and uneven. She told me not to worry about it and that she would fix it with the file, so I trusted her. When she got to the filing she filed way too much that you could see my natural nail through the powder, so I asked if she could fix it, and she did. She kept going back and forth with messing up my nails and trying to fix them. This whole experience took 2 hours to be done I went into the salon at 12:00pm and came out at 2:30pm. It took all this time for me to come out with extremely clumpy and thick nails that don’t look flattering at all. On top of everything I had to keep telling her to fix little mistakes she had made. They charged me $50 without tip for a horrible job. Overall I hated my nails they overpriced me and I do not recommend coming here even if the pictures look good and tempting"
