"I have been looking for a salon for seven years. I am so glad to finally have a salon that I feel comfortable going to. Myrna was amazing. I had very specific needs and health issues I had to work around. She heard my needs and educated me based on what I shared. I am very picky about using all organic products and also need to have gluten free products. She made sure to check everything before using it on my hair. I am so so glad to have found Myrna and the Head Case team!"

"Lia and Amy were both amazing and made me feel so special tonight! Lia made my hair look amazing and I received so many compliments on it. Amy took my confusing description of what I wanted for my makeup and made it real! I’m beyond happy!"

"*Update to my original review: my whole reason for sharing the details I did, was to show negligence on the part of the salon. Given Lex had a history of not listening to clients I should never have been scheduled with her as a new client in the first place. I did return to the salon, but before I did I brought a daughter, my son and my husband also had an appointment. I then followed up with a haircut, which went fine; and then a few weeks later I had a coloring appointment. After feeling as though we gave the salon a very fair trial, we will NOT be going back. The salon touts being eco-conscious which I appreciate, but their services are average at best, and also very expensive. You will pay for trusting the stylist’s recommendations even if you’re unhappy with the results. Good luck if you speak up. Back home in MI, the salon I was a client at for 15 years took great care in making sure their clients left feeling confident about the services received. Not one time did I leave with a head of wet/damp hair. They always straightened my hair first to make sure their cuts were precise, before offering to style it before I left. You’re lucky to get a full blow dry at Head Case and if you want any thing more, plan on paying $30+ for it. You also pay for their disposal fees? There are other clean salons offering higher quality services. (You just need to know the questions to ask.) Do yourself a favor and just skip this one altogether. Your hair, and bank account will thank you. I have learned the true value of reviews since relocating to a new part of the country. I continue to rely heavily on reviews as we seek to become more settled. I am hoping this review helps someone. I was excited when I found Head Case Hair Studio as I had for long wished I had lived around a professional salon that offered services that were healthier overall, clean, vegan, environmentally friendly etc… you know types and methods that showed a consciousness that healthy alternatives do exist in hair care. I felt good with my choice up until the stylist I was paired with decided to take my hair into her own hands, literally and figuratively. I had grown my hair to a decently long length and decided I wanted a fresh cut. I also wanted to cover some random grays that had begun popping up. I informed my stylist that I wanted to take my hair up to my collar bone, so she took off a good amount of length before applying the color, which was supposed to be as close a match as possible to my natural color. Once the color was done processing and she washed my hair out, she then took to fine-tuning my cut. She mentioned noticing I had longer layers in my hair and as I was telling her how I prefer to keep my hair close to an even length without making it blunt, and especially because my daughter did braids in my hair often enough - literally as those words were coming out of my mouth she took a razor to my hair and started cutting in short layers. I could hardly believe what I was seeing in the mirror. I think she noticed a look on my face because she cheerfully said something along the lines of, now I’m just giving your hair some layers and texture. I knew there was nothing I could do at that point; the damage had been done. I was dumbfounded. I checked out and even left her a 20% tip. I was so shocked that I felt almost in a daze. And to be honest that daze lasted for a few weeks. I wanted to believe differently than I had experienced. I wanted to convince myself that it wasn’t actually that bad. Despite my efforts to “think it off”, it wasn’t working. I feel like my hair is so thin now, and it was fine enough already as it was. I ended up calling the salon to voice my concerns about the stylist I was paired with, and to ask to be switched to someone else for my next appointment. During that call I learned that Lex, my stylist, was already being coached to listen better to her clients. Then it only poured salt on the wound to read in her bio that she likes to do dramatic changes. I guess my requests were too subtle for her."
