"Located in the heart of Old Katy, we stopped in for dessert, and we were so very pleased. We each got slices of different pies and shared them. We tried the scrumptious bourbon chocolate pecan pie, the mouthwatering refreshing lemon meringue pie, and the decadent chocolate peanut butter pie. I hadn't been there before, but I fell in love with the place. They have a varying daily specialty entree each day, along with their full regular menu. They even have St. Arnold's root beer on tap. I can't wait to go back for lunch. I plan to try the chicken salad."

"This place definitely serves comfort food for me. The food was fresh and hot. The people here were extremely kind and friendly except for the African American young lady at the counter who takes orders.. she does not greet customers and has a terrible attitude."

"My husband and I had lunch here recently. While the service was very good, the food could be improved. I enjoyed my strawberry fields salad but my husband's grilled chicken dish was way overcooked. He let me have a bite and it was so tough, as if I was eating a piece of leather. However, my husband's jaw muscles are much stronger than mine so he was able to finish his meal without too much trouble. For dessert, we shared a slice of banana cream pie and a chocolate chip cookie. The pie was good, but the cookie was very stale and we didn't finish it. We enjoyed the decor and the bathroom was sparkling clean, which is always a plus."

"I wanted desperately to rate a 5 star but I'm being picky. When this place opened up a few months ago, I was expecting a bakery. I was really looking forward to actual sourdough bread and niche baked goods or found in little shops. Both fortunately and unfortunately, this is a sandwich shop, a limited menu dinner spot, and an ice cream parlor. Yea, I didn't see that coming either. The good news is, the food is good, the portions are fair, and the place feels inviting. The only bad thing besides what I mentioned above, is the hours. They do no open until 11am on the weekend but I think I'm still hung up on it not being a bakery (which open early). So while I'm disappointed I can't get my favorite baked goods or a dozen real doughnuts, I appreciate the level of quality sandwiches and fried chicken they had on the menu. Also noticed they offer meatloaf and some other comfort foods I'm eager to try soon! We ended up ordering the Ruben (roasted) and a Bavarian on pretzel bun, pictured."

"Their Banana Creme Pie is SO SO SO SO DELICIOUS. The thought of it makes your mouth water!! Sylvia does such an amazing job putting her love and care into these beautiful pies that I suggest getting one! The place is absolutely beautiful, the decorated areas are so cute for the season! The staff is amazing, and their customer service is terrific! I HIGHLY recommend coming here."
