"Adios and Goodbye Taqueria 39, ....$12.40 for 5 small tacos, $2.76 for the drink and $15.50 for 4 small tacos, a potato and drink is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, add $2.53 tax plus $1.23 just for using your bank card is WAY TOO MUCH; the total was $34.42. On top of that, they also ask for a tip. Wife and I could've eaten a nice sit down fully waited on dinner for less than this. The meat quality has also gone down, I had to spit out several pieces of fat and nerve from the meat which I never had to do before. This was the last time that we will give these people business."

"Excellent tacos, different than everything else in McAllen mission area. Good variety of salsas. A little on the pricey side but everything is getting expensive now a days. The only thing that could improve is the drink selection. Overall very good."

"Quickly becoming my go to place to get tacos while on a diet. The lettuce wrap tacos are the bomb! No matter what I have ordered it has been great! Can't wait for a larger event to order some of their bigger items."

"It was a nice start to the meal with a small cup of soup and some chips. The cilantro and pineapple toppings tasted great on the tacos. The TV programming was too violent for children. (There was a couple of tables with young children there at the time.) The tacos tasted good."

"I had a quick bite to eat at Taqueria 39 on 495 and Taylor road in Mission. It's a small taqueria, ( then again most are) with a modern vibe. Nice artworks, hanging lights, and practical seating. I ordered Trumpo tacos and a diet coke. Once I ordered and sat down a selection of salsas were brought to the table, as well as, a cup of beans. I was told the Habenero and pineapple salsa is only served on the weekend, It was one of the best salsas I've had in some time, It was really good. My tacos arrived along with the baked potato I ordered, my potato was cold, not even warm, but it was replaced by a steaming one. The tacos had tender pork on soft corn tortillas, were well seasoned, and came with grilled onions. The Tacos were pretty good. I wish they were the traditional six tacos normally served in the RGV, but only four on the plate. I really liked the place and I want to bring my wife to eat here, she loves tacos."
