MG Family Dentistry

"My wife had couple of dental cleanings and used invisalign with them. The overall experience was very poor. Firstly, the existing google reviews do not belong to the current facility / doctor. So, it is hard to find the relevant ones. 1. It is very challenging to find appointments with them due to limited hours. They charge for cancellations without certain number of hours of notice. 2. They cleaned her teeth twice although that did not seem necessary for additional charges. We cancelled the third one they scheduled as that is also not covered by the annual cleaning coverage. 3. Invisalign is a pure waste of money. It did not help even after prolonged use. Upon every visit, a different staff member used to evaluate the progress and none of them had an idea of our needs and what invisalign can/cannot do. Each staff member used to take action items but never used to talk about those in the next visit. The timeline for the entire invisalign treatment doubled and they did not stand by the terms we discussed at the start time. They were supposed to provide retainers for both upper and lower jaws but gave only one because the aligners were used only for one jaw but charge was same which is different from our initial discussion. The original estimate of retainers were for 2 jaws that they gave us to compare with invisalign as this charge will be covered as part of the invisalign treatment. I would avoid going to them again for any dental needs in future."

"Update: I am having a problem of surprising billing with this dental office. The original estimate given by MG Family Dentistry for the procedure was $1238. I agreed to the estimate, signed it, and paid it in full. One month after the procedure was done, I received a billing statement from MG Family Dentistry asking me to pay an additional $472. Almost 40% above the original estimate. Their justification is the insurance company, a Medicare Advantage program to which they are an in-network provider, didn't pay the amount they expected. If that is the case, it's a error on the MG part of not knowing what the insurance coverages were before giving an estimate, thus depriving me the opportunity to look at other lower cost opportunities or options. Because it's their error, they should be responsible for the $472, not me. I have filed a complain with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. I am reducing my score for MG because of this incident. ----------------------- Original: ----------------------- Had an broken dental bridge replaced by MG Family Dentistry. They did a great job. Both the temp bridge and the perm bridge felt quite natural without any discomfort. Very skilled doctor and the staff."

"I had my crowns replaced! Dr. Amanda and supporting staff are fantastic, they are patient and really put me at ease! Two ladies on the front desk, they are the rockstars of this clinic! They did helped me to schedule my visits based on my availability and during the year end holidays. They did explained payment/treatment plan, insurance coverage and are extremely friendly and more important they make sure I understood!!"

"I was dreading going to the dentist because I was told that I was going to need dentures. Pulling all my teeth was a nightmare for me. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. After the intial procedures Dr Swanson came in and told me that we can save most of my teeth and I did not need dentures. I was delighted and very impressed with her solution.
