"Dr. Shaikhly knows exactly how to do a root canal, but is well aware that patients often show up nervous, especially if it’s their first. He has a really impressive technique that knocks out anything that can possibly feel pain during a procedure. You will feel NOTHING if he uses this technique, and I highly recommend him if you have anesthetic-resistant nerves like I do! I was absolutely terrified walking in, knowing that I have needed multiple injections during even general dental procedures. As soon as I told him this, he decided to move right to the special numbing method and assured me that I would feel nothing. I didn’t believe him at first, but he proved to me very quickly that he was right. You just have to trust him, and you should, because he is a very trustworthy and experienced endodontist. He will tell you exactly what he’s doing if it makes you feel better, and he will give you as much time as is reasonable for everything to kick in so that you are comfortable.
