"I personally believe that most people dislike going to the dentist. I'm no different. I dislike it so much that I put off going for far too long. Finally I made an appointment, and have since had a consult, deep cleaning AND extraction within a month and a half. Let me tell you... each time has been a different person (hygienist, dentist, and contractor) and every. single. time... has been nothing short of spectacular. The front staff is so friendly and helpful, and every single employee there is not judgmental, they're VERY cognizant of the pain levels, and just overall have me WANTING to go back. Rather than not looking forward to my next cleaning, I'm looking forward to it. Looking for a place to get minor or major work done? I highly recommend this place."

"REALLY REALLY BAD FIRST IMPRESSION! Came here for my first appointment today after moving to the area. I needed a tooth bonding/repair and new patient exam. I sent them my X-rays from my previous dentist when I made my appointment several weeks ago. Yet when I arrived they left me sitting in a chair for 45 MINUTES! while they uploaded them. Then finally they did a brief exam. Then they went sent a “health care coordinator” to see me and do an estimate. It felt like a creepy car dealership. Now after all that, I have been sitting in the chair for 90 minutes and I am still waiting to get my tooth bonding repaired. But they said it would be a “long wait” and they have no idea how long."

"Everyone has been so kind and helpful. I was terrified of the dentist but now I feel like I’m in great hands. Also the office culture is very warming. I can tell all the techs and hygienists love working there and as a client, it makes me feel more comfortable when I can tell people enjoy their job and it doesn’t feel so clinical. I felt informed about my care and they were attentive and making sure I was numbed correctly and I felt comfortable speaking up about my care. This is one of the few places where I have felt my opinion about my care mattered"

"First appointment was amazing staff and dentist were incredible. Super understanding and friendly and very reasonable price. Second appointment I was going in for all 4 wisdom teeth to be removed it started a little late but not by much and I was still able to make it to work on time. Third appointment was for a deep cleaning. I scheduled at the same time as my husband since he was off that day. Started work an hour early so I could take an extended lunch and get my appointment done within that time. We lined up childcare and made it to the appointment on time. An hour and a half later they still hadn't even started on me. My husband went back an hour or so prior. I ask them how much longer they would be and how long it would be once I was in and was told it was still going to be a while and once I was back there it would still be another hour or so. Since I can't take a 3-4 hour lunch had to reschedule in a week or so and it is the end of the year so dental benefits are now gone. No one said anything about the delays. Now I have spent my entire lunch doing nothing and will likely have to work late to complete my work before the holiday. Likely means I won't be seeing my kids much today. Not thrilled. We'll see how the return visit goes I guess."

"I want to give a shout out to all the staff at the Denton Modern Dentistry, they are the best. From the front desk to my Hygienist to Dr. Appiah. This staff is always kind; always has great conversations amongst themselves. It is an environment that makes you smile as a patient. However, the experience I have had with billing is not; first Dr. Ortiz charged me for having nitrous oxide and oxygen which was $189 when I had to have a tooth pulled. That was not used, and they refused to take it off of my bill. Second, I had my bill paid off for 6 months and then the other day, I received a bill from them stating I owed $1273 on top of that a bill from a credit bureau bill for Modern Dentistry saying I owe over $406.59. Never received a bill for the “$406.59” and in the portal, it showed a zero balance up every time I went into my portal. I had paid my bills, and it is not showing some of my payments. So, if you use this company, enjoy the office staff but don’t trust the billing department."
