"Great guys! They have many cars being repaired but when I stopped in, they dropped everything to look at my car and help me:):):) As it turns out my Smart Car cat to muffler connection came loose. You have to be a contortionist to get your hands and tools in there to fix it. They did on the spot! Did not make me leave the car and come back! Charged me very little compared to what a dealer would charge! Very happy, will return for other work as needed!"
"10-5-23… 4:30 pm.. We were visiting from Colorado, my 05 Silverado died in beach parking lot. My wife was stuck.. AAA towed it to Dan’s. He had us back on the road w a new starter in an hour! "This is a genuinely great mechanic reminiscent from a time we just heard of from our parents' era. Dan and his staff are wonderful. Dan speaks English, the staff not so much but if you want real quality repairs at an unheard of fair rate in or around SPI this is by far the place I recommend. Dan gets you in - not in two weeks but when you need to get your car serviced. You don't pay for bells and whistles - this is a true mechanic shop. The waiting room is a recycled, actually very comfortable 4 seat van bench seat outside. When I arrived at the island some 3 years ago I was told I could only get quality auto repairs done in Brownsville. That was a total lie. There are excellent mechanics and body shops in Port Isabel that do excellent work at a much fairer price without the hassle of going to Brownsville. I was naive - learn from my very expensive lessons (plural)."
"I was in a bind and a long way from home when my van’s cooling system sprang a leak. I called Dan’s. He told me to bring my vehicle by in an hour. An hour after that it was fixed for a fair price. I could not be happier. Thank you Dan!"
