Valvoline Instant Oil Change

"Left my airbox off, and filter hanging out. My wife took our transit van in for an oil change, and trying for an up sale, they pulled the air filter and showed it to her which is fine. She mentioned them having to get three technicians over there to reinstall the airbox which made me question their competence, so I double checked their work. They left all the clips undone on the box, left the filter halfway hanging out, and broke the trim piece above it. Basically, they just gave up and set stuff back in there and shut the hood and hoped for the best. I don’t want a refund and I don’t want a free oil change. Proper training and oversight needs to be implemented. This could have left us with a very hefty bill. Please pay attention. If you can’t figure it out, resort to a YouTube video at the very least."

"I’ll never go back. Got my F-150 oil changed. They halfway attached the skid plate. I got home and noticed it hanging down. I took it back to have fixed and they put a rubber band on it. It started hanging down again. I would highly recommend NOT getting serviced here. It’s not the first time I’ve had bad service at Valvoline locations. Same thing happened in Michigan. From now on dealership will be the only place touching my truck. Incredibly DISAPPOINTED customer here. Save your money."

"Oil change went well and staff very polite but the end result cost me over an hour . After leaving my check engine light came on so I had to stop by and auto parts store to get a scan which reports about 5 different codes so I decided to go back to the original source ( Valvoline) . I asked to speak with a manager who popped the hood to see the exhaust was left unplugged. Once the plug was inserted he had to reset the computer."

"I was having a rough few days, had been meaning to get my oil changed for months but every time I remembered it was late at night and everything was closed. I had to force myself out of my apartment on Sunday. I did it solely to drive through Meijer’s pharmacy. I saw this Valvoline open (Sunday, 7.9.23) and pulled in at maybe 4:10? They closed at 5, had 2 cars inside already, and I looked {and felt} less than my best… You know the saying how happy employees are better for business and such? There was a very positive vibe from every employee I saw, with kindness and bright smiles…it rubbed off on me. I did NOT expect an oil change to completely turn my day around, but these guys absolutely 100,000% did. I will *never* forget the kindness, professionalism, patience, and positive energy this team shared with me yesterday while they were changing my oil, checking my tire pressure, and filling up any low fluids. Thank you guys."
