"Love this new location! Decor is really neat. Place is clean. All dishes were spectacular and done correctly. Service was also swift and they were really kind. West lake soup was good! Needed more cilantro though- haha Water boiled fish is a staple. They give a fair amount! Yangzhou fried rice hits. Eggplant and string beans - overall good but some string beans were a little old. Spicy oil dumplings were great. Loved that they were a little sweet. Fragrant ribs were incredible as well."

"I absolutely love this place! The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is top-notch. However, I found the portion sizes to be a tad small for my liking. Nonetheless, the cumin beef and green beers were absolutely delicious!"

"The area is busy but it’s worth getting to and seating down for a solid meal. The staff is very helpful and suggests some of their favs. The food was great and we ordered to share between 4. No one could pick a favorite! Another great spot in Houston to add to your list!"

"New found obsession! We have had Sichuan cuisine before but Mala took it to the next level, everything that we ordered from the mix cocktails to the chili oil dumplings was delicious. The star of the show was the pepper shrimp, definitely recommended trying it. The staff was very friendly in answering any questions we had. The atmosphere and decor are very calming and welcoming."

"We ordered takeout. Order was ready on time and accurately filled. The food is very good and fresh. Most of the time menu items flagged as spicy gets a big eye roll and riiiight. Not here. The food marked spicy is very spicy, but in a delicious way. We ordered red oil dumplings 3.5/5, spicy and crispy chicken 5/5, Cumin King Pork Hock 4.5/5, and Salt and Pepper Prawns (12) 5/5."
