Driveo San Antonio

"I requested a quote from Driveo for purchase of my car. They submitted a quote for $19,775 with the following statement "Our quotes are based on all the important info we ask about your car and on recent local sales data for similar cars. We analyze current and recent listings, wholesale auction transactions, and book values. View your quote, come in for a quick inspection, shake hands, and leave with cash or trade in your car for a new ride! Ready to view your quote? Just click on the button below" I accepted the quote and drove over 30 miles from my home to deliver my car to Mike Shaw Toyota in Robstown, Tx per their instructions. After I delivered the car, the representative from Mike Shaw Toyota said that they would only pay $17,500 " because of local market conditions and similar sales." I complained strongly annd or about this and pointed out the quote was already based on local market conditions and that the original qoute should be honored . After further negotiation I agreed under duress to sell the car for 18,000. I still feel that Driveo and/ or Mike Shaw Toyota are operating a very dishonest "bait and switch operation " and will never do business again with with either of them."

"Typical bait-and-switch tactics; I shouldn’t have known better as soon as I found out this place was a dealership. Original offer was too good to be true. I had confirmed appointment and drove all the way over from downtown San Antonio and “Joe” apparently left early for the day and told the receptionist he texted me (which he did not). Luckily another manager then appraised the car, but for $1,600 less than they quoted me and said they had to do a costly “special cleaning” because I had a dog and hair was present. Lastly, we agreed on a price, but conveniently the payroll department was closed and I’d have to drive back the next day to get a check. Drove over to CarMax and they honored the exact price they quoted me online so I sold to them."

"I got an online quote that was very generous and $100 less then my payoff amount. I went in ready to pay the extra $100. I went to Driveo at North Park in Castroville and met with Joe. He was so kind, professional and understanding. He actually raised his offer to meet my payoff. He made sure I had a ride home and took care of everything. "I completed an online estimate to sell my car. They offered my great amount. Better than another car buyer service. I setup the appointment and the representative completing the appraisal made process extremely easy. He made offer little less than by few hundred dollars and the sell was done. I entered wrong trim of my car but still got great price for it. I highly recommend Driveo if you decide to sell your car. I signed for sell Saturday and Monday they paid my balance to lienholder and cut me check for difference! My husband and I where impressed! He even decided to sell his truck.
