"Place used to be awesome for me. Until they no longer wanted to serve me after years of going there. The reason? My Texas ID was expired, I did however have an additional valid ID. In the form of a Matricula Consular I got in McAllen. The bartender told me I couldn’t use that which was odd because any other bar just acknowledges my birthday and they serve me alcohol. Never been back since."

"Absolutely horrible experience I had awhile back. I had one drink prior to getting to Cigar bar. When I walked in, I ordered a drink, and the bartender told me I had to pay cash. Since I didn't have cash, I had to go to the ATM. As I finished withdrawing cash, the security guard went up to me and told me I needed to leave. I thought someone had maybe put him up to it and it was a prank, so I asked him if he was joking. In a serious tone, he told me two more times that I had to go. I asked if he was gonna pay the ATM fee I just paid for my drink at the bar, and he said I'd have to ask the manager. I asked for the manager, and when she came out, I asked her what was going on. She asked the bartender what happened, and he just motioned to cut me off. I was pissed. She didn't want to reimburse me for my fee, and she said I needed to leave. Horrible, horrible establishment. They will never get my service again."

"My husband and I haven't been to this place in years, not much has change other than it doesn't smell like smoke anymore, which to me is great! Now they serve food, we didn't try but it looked good from what we saw. The best part about this place are the prices, beers are cheap, 3$ shots?? they are crazy but thank you!! Management is attentive and will most likely go again!"

"Good, cheap drinks and excellent happy hour specials. Their food menu is varied, and their food is great. It gets pretty crowded early, but the crowd tends to taper off in the evenings. The weekends are a little more active, though. I like this place. Every time I go, it's a new experience. They've got plenty of big screens to watch the latest games or sporting events, plus the bartenders work hard and are absolute pros."
