"We had heard many great things about this store from our family and friends in Houston, so we had to stop by before driving back home. We were very pleased. The store is clean and well organized. The staff were attentive and incredibly helpful. The grocery items were all very fresh. We picked up a few snacks and some to go dishes for the drive home. Our absolute favorites were the bonda, chicken puffs, paal kappa and beef curry. My one year old clearly loved the chicken puffs and kept signaling me for more. Hubby said the beef curry was delicious and reminded him of Kerala. We will definitely be back when we’re in the Houston area!"

"I don’t usually need to post bad reviews because I’m pretty good at selecting places with quality food and service but this time is different. We started going to this grocery store about a year ago because it’s close to the gym and on the way home and there are not many places to get Halal meat. From the first time I was hesitant because as soon as you walk in you are met with the smell of seafood from the section way in back of the store which shows it’s not at all clean or fresh. I would not buy the seafood and would get the chicken and beef on occasion. About 3 months ago I bought several packs of chicken and the next day half was smelling. Two days ago it was late at night so I stopped by and I bought several packs of leg quarters and opened them as soon as I got home and they smelled up my kitchen. I brought them back yesterday less than 24 hours later with the receipt and they refused refund or exchange. They can keep their rotting seafood and spoiled chicken. Definitely never returning no matter how convenient the location."

"Bought this papri two days ago, completely gone bad and old stock. There is no expiration date. Never buying packaged grocery from here again."

"I ordered chicken tikka masala with two garlic naams and a pomegranate juice with basil seeds to top everything off! The food was so good! When I say good- everything was flavorful, perfect amount of veggies, hot temperature and great serving portion size! The amount you get for the cost is beyond reasonable and worth it! There was a small wait for the made to order food which was fine with me because the food exceeded my expectations! It was my first time visiting here and when I asked questions of the employees, they were very helpful. The store is indeed a grocery store and set up as such- very clean and organized! You can order your food at the counter and they will bring it to you. I will definitely be back again."

"My Spice Grocery in Missouri City is amazing! The store is so clean; I would have guessed it just opened this month! I have been to a number of Indian grocery stores that feel crammed in a small space, that’s not the case with My Spice. It is a large space and very organized. They have everything you need from fresh meats and seafood to a large variety of spice and rice. My Spice Grocery also has fresh chai and coffee available as well as a grill where I had some great chicken biryani. My Spice, well done!!"
