I brought my vehicle in due to a check engine light, and I was worried about the price I was going to pay, being it was a fairly new vehicle. I googled mechanic shops near my home and saw all the reviews Shift Forward received, and I decided to give in and call the shop to explain the problem. I brought my vehicle to the shop immediately after the phone call, and Mike explained and showed me what the problem was and how it could be repaired. "I am very glad I found Shift Forward. Tony, I believe he is the manager and main mechanic, has been very good about explaining the issues going on with our three cars, and what is needed to fix them. My old jeep, which I recently purchased, did not have heat right before severe cold weather hit. I asked that they try flushing the heater core rather than replacing it (replacing it is 8+ hour job where the entire dash has to be removed), which they flushed twice, but it only marginally improved it. So the heater core had to be replaced but at least I knew beforehand flushing it may not work. I think they could have charged much more than they did. I have used three different repair shops in the last five years, been lied to, over charged, or have had my car sitting in the shop for weeks while paying for a rental car. I am very happy with their service, employees, timeliness, cost, and most of all because I feel they are honest. Greg Gates"
