"Great omakase at a great price point! Came for dinner on a Tuesday night and sat at the bar. Jesus is super friendly and creates great dishes! Throughout the dinner, we got to meet most of the other staff, who were all very sweet and funny! Couldn’t have asked for a better time and better food! I’m so happy to hear they have such a long happy hours I will definitely be back!"
"They did it again. The chefs of Kokoro and Handies Duzo have made another hit. Walking in, hosts were extremely nice and welcoming. The vibe was dark and sexy, with some trendy music playing. Immediately, I noticed the bar up front with a huge selection of Japanese whiskey and sake. Walking to the back to our table, we were escorted through a curtain that gave the dining area a private speak easy type of feel. Sushi chefs, waiters, and bussers were all very welcoming. The menu was a little overwhelming because of the number of items. I wanted them all to be honest and was scared to miss out on anything by making a blind selection. I considered doing the chefs tasting menu (which was very inexpensive for the amount of food), but I decided to leave my experience in the hands of our waitress. Our waitress Sam was an absolute delight and navigated us through an unforgettable experience. Absolutely every dish from the starters to the kitchen items to the sushi were melt in your mouth savory....on to the pics"
"couldn’t have asked for a better experience — they were over booked during our rez, so moved us to the bar seating and included some complimentary items for the hassle. we ordered the small omakase & some crudos and additional sides (must try: chutoro!!) everything was fresh & beautifully presented, and the super friendly & attentive servers were the cherry on top. i’ll be visiting very soon again! i’m genuinely surprised i hadn’t heard of this place before, but now i can’t stop talking about it"
"Hands down, the BEST sushi experience in the South!! Starting with the staff: Jesus, Steven, AK, and Dung - super friendly and extremely knowledgeable of not just their menu, but sushi/food in general. They made our dinner that much more enjoyable. Onto the food...I can't articulate enough just how good everything was. Every dish was perfectly balanced, with no component overpowering your palate. Every dish recommended was a homerun! Definitely coming back here on my next trip to HTX."
