Goodwill Central Texas - Leander Store

"Community service orders couldn’t be more obvious here. Rude, pissed off folks hating life and hating donors. I pull up the drop-off and start unloading only to get yelled at to ‘wait my turn’. My box of dishes is purposely thrown into a bin ensuring 100% breakage. Bags of soft goods get dragged on the pavement until ripped and spilled. There are better donation centers and certainly better people. Hard pass."

"Took four of my son's RC cars to this location to donate a couple weeks back. Zip tied and even taped the controllers to the cars so that they would remain together in the hopes that some little kid would be able to buy them and enjoy them because I have seen RC cars in the past with no controllers to go with them. Was in there today and lo and behold I saw three of the RC cars I had donated but no remotes in sight! I did find one of the controllers and guess what Goodwill did? They separated a key component of the toy and decided to sell them as separate items! Both, the RC car and the controller, which weren't even near each other, had separate price tags! I zip tied them together to ensure they remained together and y'all separated them just to sell them as two separate toys and make a couple extra bucks. What are y'all doing? All for a few more dollars in profit, but I guess it adds up. Some kid is going to buy an RC car and either get the wrong remote or not have a remote for it at all, either way, that child is going to be extremely disappointed and it makes me sad but more so angry at this location's incompetence. I donate thousands of dollars in merchandise and clothes to Goodwill every year. I will not donate another item to this particular Goodwill ever again. This store is a complete mess and way more overpriced than any other Goodwill within the immediate location, and this was just a let down. It used to be the best one around, It's gone downhill over the past year so."

"Brad who works in the “back” of the store (that’s what he told me) is so kind. He saw me struggling to get a big item into my van in front of the store. He looked like he was just getting into work. He asked me if I needed help. He put his personal items down and took his time to help me. I asked for his name, and he shook my hand. This 5 star review is for you Brad! Thank you!"

"I generally really like this site, but the dressing room situation is not ideal. The rooms are almost always closed and when they are open, you are subject to the dressing rooms attendant's decision to refuse you access after a few visits. If there were mirrors anywhere near the dressing rooms, you could easily try on a number of clothes. But if you want to look at the fit of clothes or shoes, good luck. Never had a store tell me I cannot try on anymore clothes, let alone when there is nearly no one else waiting."

"The store is big and has plenty of stuff to look at. It has a lot of overpriced items bit it has some fair ones too. Customer service could be better, as most of the employees looked annoyed or tired, not even saying excuse me when they passed by picking up stuff. The store could use some cleaning, especially the dressing rooms which had so many clothes and hangers,you could not even sit, put your clothes inside or even try to relax while trying clothes on. It did have more stuff than other Goodwills I have visited,so overall it wasn't so bad, we might be back!!"
