"Upscale cozy sushi. Well executed traditional and modern rolls as well as nigiri / sashimi as expected. Waitstaff was very attentive. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Small dining are with a clam vibe. Most tables have a partial view of the sushi bar where you can kinda watch them prepare the nigiri and rolls. The waiting area / bar is a bit more lively but that might be because we came on a busy night. Difficult to park. There's a free surface lot but it's constantly full. Ume has their own valet."

"Place looks nice, plain decor. Sushi is excellent, drinks are great. Bartender recommend the Japanese whiskey. It was super delicious. Sushi rolls were great. Lobster also was amazing. A family tree of MF Sushi restaurant. Restrooms are clean. Service is Excellent, our bartender recommend few items and he was super friendly."

"If you want real sushi, and cannot go to Japan, Ume Sushi is the place to go in Houston Texas. This is a cute little place, but don't make the small size fool you, there are at least nine chefs behind the sushi bar who are preparing your food to your taste. We started out with the cocktails, while we were waiting for our table, and I must say my Dirty Martini was up to my satisfaction. The staff seemed very nice and kind, and our waiter was exceptional. The reason I am giving 4 stars. here is the fact that the ambience seemed about average. That's the only thing I can say negative about this place."
