Black Bear Diner

"Table was dirty when we got seated. Covered in sticky jelly. Waitor even said it never got wiped. Floor was dirty and gross. Food and Jelly packets under the table. Waitor quickly cleaned the table and took order. Soups from orders came out after the main sandwich which is odd. Food tasted good. Avacodo was forgotten on the taco salad. Simple coffee is expensive for the few times they fill your cup."

"Good food as always! I think they may have been short staffed tonight, so service was a little slow, but overall, good experience? Me: two eggs, scrambled with cheese, two biscuits and gravy, and bacon. Him: the all meat, omelette, with hashbrowns and a biscuit."

"The start was ok, new training waitress was fine. However, after two cups of coffee it took about thirty minutes to get the food. The restaurant was fairly empty, except for a table for six or eight, thus not busy. What arrived at the table was nothing short of a disaster. Burned… and raw hash browns that were hastily cooked and inedible. Only thing good were the scrambled eggs. In hindsight, I could have had this breakfast at the hotel and it been a far better experience. The manager offered twice to redo the order but after taking thirty minutes of my time, I’d be late for an engagement at 8am, so I politely declined. At that point, I lost faith in their ability to deliver. My order wasn’t even complicated. When it was delivered the waitress even knew it was wrong to drop that garbage in front of me… could not even make eye contact and hurried away. I ate what I could, left a tip. I was charged full price. I’ve eaten at Black Bear Diner across the country, many times, and this negative experience was my first… hopefully my last. I don’t want my money back or an apology… just want them to fix their location. It needs serious attention. This was absolutely unacceptable, disgraceful."

"A little slower service than usual today, but it was packed and there were at least 2 large tables with baseball teams. Food was yummy and plentiful. Those fries are delicious. We all loved our choices. We’ll come back to try more items on their menu."

"Me, my son, and my daughter came here our first time. He came here from out of town, as we were looking for a sit down restaurant and we found Black Bear Diner! Beautiful atmosphere and not super loud for a Monday. I ordered the breakfast bowl, my son ordered the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and hash browns. My daughter ordered french toast with house red potatoes and hot cocoa. All delicious food and appropriately sized portions, very Texan, very amazing. I didn't see the servers name, but she was very gracious and helpful to us. Excellent service from everyone."
