Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

"I hadn't been to a Golden Corral in over 2 years because I had a poor experience at a couple of them. This one in Laredo TX had a recent revamp, and I have to say I liked it. The atmosphere was good with the live music being hardly noticeable on the other side of the restaurant, a plus. The food was good and there was something for everyone. The service was great and speedy. And my favorite thing of all was the pricing, they divided it by age groups along with times when you visit. This was much better than only having kids under 8 and adult pricing. Good experience and would recommend if you are hungry. When I went they had apple cranberry roast beef which was not my favorite item, but I like the fact that they are trying out new items"

"Always stop at this establishment when I travel to Laredo. The service is great as is the food. Staff is very friendly and courteous. There is also a variety of food items that you can select from to include 3 different types of soups. The sitting areas are always maintained clean and orderly. From foods that kids like eating to various foods that adults enjoy, there is always plenty to select from. From the culinary staff cooking your steak the way you like it to the chefs preparing other main dishes, the food is hot and delicious. Great for family gatherings."

"I remember Golden Corral as the first restaurant where I, together with my fellow Filipino teachers, was treated to a good dinner back in 2002. It became then our favorite dining place during our early years in Laredo. My personal favorites were the steak and the fried chicken. Last Sunday hubby and I decided to have lunch there. It was our first time to go since it was renovated. I like the new dining set-up; it looks more spacious and cleaner. I went for the steak but I did not enjoy it. It was dry and less tasty than the steak of my earlier years. I was looking for my favorite chicken and it was not there. Disappointed me! I tried the pot roast and that was a bit delish. For dessert, I tasted the chocolate cake and it was alright. Overall food was okay."

"I went to eat and I found it a very nice place, from the service by the staff, the cleanliness and the food. It is a buffet and there was a lot of variety in food and desserts. Pasta and seafood is the best you can choose to eat. My favorite dessert was the ice cream, the chocolate cake and the chocolate dipped strawberries. The price is considerable because you can eat all the food and desserts that are on the trays. The atmosphere is very good and from time to time they have live music. It is an excellent place to have a nice dinner with family or friends. I recommend it only if you are actually going to take advantage of the food."
