"The spot looks like it's been around for a long while. Decorated in old signs, animal heads and other random memorabilia the place has a great vintage VIBE. The SERVICE is great. The ladies at the bar were helpful and the waitress working the main dining room was very attentive and polite. The food was good. The slice brisket had a great flavor and good bark. My friend ordered a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was HUGE and came with a healthy side of fries. PRICE for bbq is comparable to other places. Solid spot if you are in the area and hungry."

"Order: 1/4 cheeseburger Price: $8.95 + $1.25 (for cheese)= $10.20 with no fries or drink. Pros: not frozen patties Cons: the beef had no flavor and it was the type of beef that needed seasoning. They didn't flatten the pattie to cover the whole bun. I also don't believe they gave me the full slice of cheese I paid over a dollar for. Tip: if you have someone to share a meal order the pound burger with fries. Just cut a quarter for yourself and share the fries. I didn't get fries so hopefully those are tasty."

"Who would have thought the best fried shrimp in Texas would be found at a BBQ restaurant?? Seriously, I was blown away not only by how light and crispy the batter was, but also the size of the shrimp. I live quite some distance from this location, but will not hesitate to make the drive when I’m in the mood for some good fried seafood! Kudos to the fry cook!!!"

"Such an authentic place! Loved everything from the texan interior, to the really nice staff to the of course perfect BBQ choices! The meat was really juicy (even the turkey, which is so often way to dry), the Mac and Cheese creamy and the rips perfectly seasoned. The experience was overall amazing! I can only recommend it!"

"This is a cozy, log cabin style, laid back BBQ joint. You order at the counter when you walk in and your food is served at the end of the counter. You pay prior to leaving the building as the exit is situated after the payment line, somewhat inconvenient if you have people in your party that are not paying because they have to go through the line to be able to exit. The food is fabulous, I had the shredded beef potato and it was huge...making more than one meal for me. The prices are good, the military discount is per person, not per check. We had to show both show our military IDs although we were on the same check. We will be back."
