Harris County Smokehouse - Tomball

"I have never been so insulted as I was here tonight. They already treat their ribs like gold, but when I ordered the ribs tonight they were so small that 5 of them fit into a white side dish container. Three of them were barely the size of the first two joints on my index finger and the other 2 were maybe twice that size, but there were 5 in a side dish container. I am so thankful I looked at my to go order before I pulled away, because I would have been so upset when I got home. Unfortunately, here I am still upset because I can't believe this even happened. I was so shocked and complained and the girl at the counter was like, "What do you mean? There are 4 there." I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone that this girl could not see that this was inappropriate and barely a handful of food for what I paid. I asked to speak to the manager but she just came back and said he said to replace them. Eventually the manager came over to talk to me and gave me larger ribs but no where near the size I usually get. He didn't believe me and said ribs wouldn't fit into a white container, so I told the girl to show him. I wish I had taken pictures before I gave them back, but I was just so shocked that the drive thru girl thought this was in any way acceptable or even the worker who put them in the white container?! I can't wrap my mind around their thought process. Then the ribs I got were mostly fat, so I still feel ripped off, but I mostly feel insulted that they tried to pass this off on me as this being okay and acted like I was the one with the problem. This isn't the first time I've had issues with the cashier. It's like she can't think. I hate to have to be so "on guard" to do takeaway from a restaurant. It should be a pleasant experience but it's not. This is the second time I've had issues in the last 3 visits I've had here. This is completely unacceptable and a warning ⚠️ for everyone who does take away to check your food before you drive away. Edit: This is a picture of one of the replacement ribs. They were twice the size of the original ribs, but they are still the size of my finger. Some people may be making out like bandits with this 4 rib rule when they get down to the lower parts of the ribs, but at the upper part y'all need to fix that."

"I love the design of the building inside and out! There is plenty of parking and it’s very clean inside. It’s good to know they have canned goods nearby so you don’t have to go to a country store to get the basics. I ordered the kids sandwich and it comes with a side I chose the steam vegetables and it was prepared perfectly. There is so much food, I can’t believe it! Then they asked me if I wanted a bag for a roll and cornbread! The sauce has a little bit of heat, and taste really good. The people here are very courteous, and they include a lot of quality napkins in the to go bag. I would definitely come back again and bring friends. Enjoy!"

"Great location, great service. Best ambience in all the smokehouses I visited. Friendly staff. I felt the meat was a little bland, no much of the black pepper taste, but thats just me. Meat was soft and tender, they have fresh made bread, biscuits. Very kid friendly place. Right next to the freeway. Quick exit and re-entry. Wont mind visiting again."

"I usually like this place for there salad, although lately here and there iv been getting bad veggies, today I order 2 turkey salads for me and my mom and I’m not one to call and complain because I get it things happen but this is just getting ridiculous . I live 25 min from Tomball all to get home and find this out"

"We placed an order for the togo. The food was served after waiting for a while. The staff were friendly. The bread and meat food prepared were all so delicious. We visited around 3 p.m. and there were not many people. There is also a drive-through, so you can use it comfortably."
