"waited 5 months for an embroidered "mama" sweatshirt with custom names on sleeve. ordered in february. finally picked up in may and was incorrect the due to my error, but shop was willing to fix since it was simply adding one name to the sleeve (vs having to take something away or a misspelling). it's now the last week of july, and i received the wrong sweatshirt all together--wrong names and wrong size...pretty sure i got someone else's order. zero communication from shop as to why there was a delay in completing the order. very disappointing!!"

"I came in the store looking to drop my lab jacket off to have my name added to have for my internship this summer. I was promised that the jacket would be done in a week. I was forced to pay before leaving the store after the workers stated they allowed other customers to leave without paying, which wasn’t the issue. However, in my personal opinion if you have a policy and procedures of how you run your store you should follow them and not offer leeway to a certain group of costumers and not the others. The machine wasn’t working so they stated to pay upon me picking up my jacket. I asked for something in writing that I can have but they refused. I asked for this so I wouldn’t be discriminated once entering the store to pick up said jacket. A week later I returned to pick up my jacket it wasn’t completed. It sat behind the counter for a week without even being looked at. I asked for a simple design and they promised it would be done by then. They told me I could return later that day and Kemi would pick it up and it would be done that was at 1pm. I returned at 4pm and still the jacket hadn’t been touched. They told me then once again that kemi would pick it up do it at home then drop it off to me. However, nothing was communicated via text message I had to keep driving to the store for communication. I didn’t feel comfortable with her dropping it off at my personal address. Furthermore, they were informed that I needed this jacket and couldn’t wait until Sunday to be able to get it back. I communicated to them that I was leaving Sunday morning and couldn’t pick it up Sunday afternoon. They lack communication!! If they know they couldn’t give the jacket back in a week why take the jacket in the beginning. I wouldn’t recommend this store!"

"This store is horrible and would not recommend anyone of color to shop here. Upon entering the store we were looked at as if we couldn’t afford the resale clothing in there. My daughter and I dropped off a white coat to have her credentials embroidered. I was told they usually don’t ask customers to pay up from but recommended we pay up front. Not a big deal. The jacket was there 2 weeks, sitting behind the counter. When my daughter went to pick up the jacket it was still sitting there untouched. Staff Kami and Jennifer assured us if she came back at 4 PM it would be done. My daughter went to retrieve the jacket and it laid still untouched once again. We ask more than twice would this be done in time for a special time for my daughter and is it would be. Very disappointed and will NEVER return or recommend to anyone of color. EVER!"

"I purchased a shirt online from The Perfect Pair on June 11. My credit card was charged immediately. After 7 days, no shirt and no correspondence from them. So, I call. The first time a lady answers the phone and says that she thinks my order was in the orders to be shipped that day. She asked for my information and said she would call me back to confirm. No return call that day, and another week goes by with no call or no correspondence otherwise. So, I call, again. This time the owner answers as she said the calls are forward to her mobile phone. She recalls my order and says that they oversold the shirt in my size and that they were supposed to have refunded my money. As an extension of service, she was going to call the brand of the shirt to ask if she can get another/more in my size. She, too, said she would call me back. I never received a call back. I inquired to the brand of the shirt myself directly about additional production and they responded quickly advising they are not producing anymore but hope to do so in the future. To date (July 5), I have no return communication from The Perfect Pair, they no longer answer either of the phone numbers they have advertised, I have no shirt and.....THEY HAVE NOT REFUNDED MY MONEY. And, the best part IMO...they are still showing the shirt in the sold out size as AVAILABLE on their website!! Who knows how many other products they are falsely advertising (and collecting sales revenue)! This is disappointing at best, potentially criminal at worst. The Ellis County Texas District Attorney will be the next posting."

"I ordered jeans for my son online. I ordered 3/4 but received 4/5. The jeans did not have a tag, were the wrong color, and looked worn. I contacted the business multiple times through email, their website, and Instagram. I received one response on Instagram that they would eMail me a shipping label but I never received it. I attempted to contact the business again on Instagram and they blocked me. I try to support small businesses. This one is unethical. Don’t do business here. Update/Response To Business: I have never received the return label. I have searched my inbox and junk mail for several variations of your business name and email. I have received your advertisement emails. You stated via Instagram that you sent the return label but when I responded twice on Instagram that I never received it you never responded. I ordered product on 11/9 and received 11/15 11/16 I emailed you and submitted a message on your website that I ordered a 3/4 but you sent a 4/5, the color was wrong, the jeans did it have a tag, and they looked worn. I didn’t receive a response. 11/23 I again emailed and also submitted a message on your website. You never responded. 11/23 11:45 I sent a message on Instagram. 11/23 11:48 you responded and said you would send an address label. 12/2 I sent an Instagram message that I had not received the label. However you never responded. 12/12 I sent another Instagram message that I had not received a return label. You did not respond. 12/12 I posted a comment that I haven’t received a label and had not heard from you. 12/12 you blocked me on Instagram I gave you the benefit of doubt. I understand things happen and I gave plenty of grace. You had opportunity after opportunity to respond but you failed to do so. So I decided to leave a google review. Based on your continued failure to respond, I assume this is just the way you do business. I hope this was a learning experience and wish you the best."
