Hillside Boutique Hotel

"Love Love Love this place. I go to San antonio for work but I always stay here. Everyone there is so friendly and nice. I admit, I love that the cats are well taken care of and always greet me when I go. I especially live big momma (my name for her). She puts grumpy cat to shame! I love her face!"

"2023: Here for the eclipse. The location worked out nicely. The rooms are a nice size and well maintained with the exception of a slow draining bathtub and a unhinged toilet which was resolved after a couple of visits by maintenance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My wife took advantage of the masseuse which she thoroughly enjoyed."

"Absolutely the worst experience of any hotel we have ever stayed. To claim they are a “boutique hotel” is a joke. This hotel is clearly an old best western that was probably built in the early 80’s and was converted to claim it is now a “boutique hotel”. The rooms are grossly overpriced for the quality. The photos are extremely fraudulent. There are stray cats every where and they even came in our room while we were bringing in our luggage. The heat did not work. The was human feces wiped on the walls next to the toilet. There were multiple missing light bulbs. The room was dirty and gross. The iron was disgusting. If you used it it would clearly ruin your clothes. The restaurant / bar which was one of the “amenities” was closed down. For the love of God please avoid this location at ALL costs! As a disabled veteran I’d rather be in the field for a week, with no shower, than stay in this location again."

"The view was very pretty. I really liked staying here. I would recommend a few things. The floors seem very dirty. That is the only complaint about rooms. The view is gorgeous except from our room you could see some of the pool but all of the back parking lot. No one really was parked back there but there was a portable storage bldg that block the view. Also a parked gator. I felt like those two things hurt the ambience that I was getting. The restaurant was closed for renovations and I’m hoping the portable bldg will leave after the renovation. The power did go out during the college games which was a bummer."

"Highest Recommendation!! This is such a wonderful and inspiring Hotel. The rooms are absolutely wonderful. The hillside views are beautiful for views at anytime of day or evening. There is no need to even leave., breakfast, lunch or dinner is Top Notch!! The staff is as well Top Notch. Have breakfast delivered to your room. Give you and a loved one some extra treatment massage etc. This establishment brings a warm home feeling with a 5 Star eating experience. Truly a unique surprise to anyone who has visited. Pro tip: Take the time to go upstairs and enjoy the Bar. Kick back and relax Southern Ranch Home Style"
