"Always an outstanding burger. Fries are good but a better grade of fries would make the experience way better"

"This place is absolute trash and weird. I went in for a pick order. The cashier is just sitting there on her phone and I asked a question about the condiments for the beverages. She didn't understand the question and had to ask someone in the back. Weird service indeed. The salad had melted cheese into the chicken and lettuce. It was not worth $10 for the portion of salad pushed to one side of the container. It was a half order not a full order of salad. Nothing special about this and please do not order the salad. This was not good at all. I don't even want to try their burgers, never going here again."

"Excellent, hot, fresh, large burgers with quality toppings. Thick- cut fries, while quantity is a bit on the slim side, are very good. Service time is good. Understand that this is a counter service place, so don't expect them to come to your table and check on you. The only negative was that my wife ordered the 1984 Burger but somehow the cashier input it as a regular cheeseburger. However, when I told the manager, he made up for it by quickly bringing out a LARGE amount of the missing toppings (avocado, onions, jalapeños, bacon) at no charge. Totally saved the day!"

"Chapps is a staple on this side of Arlington. I grew up coming here for dinner often. I love that they use Nolan Ryan beef, a delicious tribute to the Texas Rangers legend. The dining room is also decorated in tribute to Texas. The burgers are good, though the fries tend to be burnt. The philly cheesesteak was tasty, though a hit lacking in meat. I took a star off for service, which seems to have gone downhill over the years. The place wasn't busy when I arrived, but it still took a few minutes to be acknowledged and order at the front counter. My food took a while to come out, longer than expected for so few customers. Good restaurant, staff needs more training in customer service."

"Edit: I'm dropping the review of this place, the last two times it has been utterly bad. The cheese fries I paid $3 for had no cheese, and the burger was overly done and the bun was burnt Arlington had grown a lot in the last decade or so, but this Chapps has been a staple for this side of town. I came here growing up with my parents, and the burgers are just as delicious now as they were then. I recommend spending the extra two quarters and getting the Cajun fries with ranch. The place is always clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. A consistently great burger joint!"
