"Wife and I came here not long after they opened. Had been to the Needville restaurant a couple of times, years ago, so I bragged about the food. That experience was absolutely horrible. Food, service, appearance. Everything was awful. On a whim, went there again last night. A complete 180. Cfs was great. Sides were great. Wife's mushroom jay was great and cooked perfectly. Alyssa, our server was amazing even though she was extremely busy. Way to turn it around!!"

"I was there at lunch time on a weekday and they were busy but not packed. I was seated for at least 10 minutes before the server came to take my drink order which I consider to be slow. Once the order was taken the food came swiftly. I ordered the chicken fried steak. It came out looking huge and golden brown but I was a bit disappointed once I was cut into it. The breading on each side of the steak was as thick as the steak itself which felt like too much breading. I couldn't taste the meat unless I pulled the breading off. I chose baked potato and a dinner salad with Caesar dressing for the sides. The baked potato came loaded and was a good baked potato. The salad contained lettuce and tomato only. The dressing was served on the side and was very thick, like soft butter, which makes it difficult to dress the salad. I had to plop bits of it around the bowl and then tried to stir the lettuce to distribute the dressing. Overall it was an average experience, not horrible. I may go back but I won't order the CFS again."

"I sat down and ate the first few days they were open and they were still figuring out the ordering system and getting down the service. Took no pictures of food until they were settled in. I’m not going to complain since they are a relatively new restaurant. This morning, I had a to go order and it seems like they have more of everything down. I had a very pleasant experience! I got the grilled shrimp salad and asked for croutons and it was absolutely delicious! Shrimp was large and juicy, their ranch tastes house made, and the smokiness really pulled the meal together. Next visits, I will certainly be dining in with my boyfriend. If you had a bad experience the first few times, give them another go. I will be coming back to try their pies and chicken fried chicken."

"I really like the traditional home style food here as it has a very country hometown vibe! The food is super delicious, mouth watering and absolutely worth the drive. My favorite item is the jalapeno poppers, fried okra and the chicken fried chicken. The pies were my favorite part. The coconut cream pie, apple pie along with the peach cobbler are some of my favorites with ice cream. The service is great and would definitely stop by again!"
