"The food was good. Not the best, but by far not the worst. The food price was also a bit high for the yield. When asked if a club sandwich could be made, the answer was "Not today, that's one of our specials." Why would you turn down money today? The dine-in area also wasn't clean and was fairly run-down looking. We ate there and wiped down our own table. No tables were cleaned the entire time we were there even though there was a staff of at least five behind the counter. I would understand if they were busy, they weren't. There were water damaged ceiling tiles and mismatched table and chairs modified by PVC and napkins. The floors and baseboards also were obviously not cleaned. There were food scraps and thick dust visible from several feet away. I would like to try again once they have some time to address some of these flaws."

"DUDE THIS SANDWICH SHOP IS INCREDIBLE!!! The turkey was incredible! The roll for the sandwiches are made from scratch right next door from the bakery. Staff was super nice as well and the place was clean. Love it!"

"I read a lot of good reviews for this place so I dropped in. The ingredients are very fresh and it definitely had a great mom and pop vibe the servers were very friendly. Being objective about the food the Italian grinder was lacking in the meat department but very good just needs to be priced more appropriately(the bread was easily the best part of the sandwich). The Gumbo was ehh I lived in Louisiana for around a year and a half so it missed the mark as far as my expectations go. I will say it was nice to have something hot on this rainy day. I most likely won’t be returning to the sandwich shoppe side of 4 kings but I definitely will be going to their bakery the “Compost cookies” are phenomenal, and worth the trip."

"This award winning place has some of the best sandwiches in the San Antonio area and then some! The veggie sandwich is my wife's favorite in the city. I've had 6 different sandwiches here and every single one has been exceptional. Anytime there's a disc golf tournament that I'm playing in, this is my go-to place to grab a bite to eat in between rounds. The owners are super friendly and their youngest daughter is adorable! It happened to be her birthday during our last visit and she did a great job taking orders during rush hour. They have excellent desserts as well and have a bakery next door. The place has a lot of unique touches that makes this dining experience one of a kind."
