"Disappointing. I ordered 2 lbs. of their espresso blend with a requested roast level of medium. What I received was a mix of medium roasted and dark roasted beans. Blend is of at least two varieties and one variety was properly roasted while the other was over roasted (in some cases to the point of being burnt). It shows this is a "pre roast" blend of beans instead of each variety being roasted properly for it's type and then being blended after roasting. The result is extremely variable cups of espresso when variables are being controlled (grind size, grind amount, tamping pressure, etc.) with some being good and other being barely drinkable. Given communication on my order was terrible (only emailed when the order shipped which was just over two weeks from ordering), I'll refrain from ordering from Alter Bros. Coffee again."
