"Today was our first time and loved everything we got! On top of our coffees we got the mini beignets and a slice of kings cake and they were both delicious. The beignets were nice and warm."

"Today was my first time visiting this location after seeing the broadcast on Channel 4 this morning to come and try it. I am so glad I did! I ordered the beignets, King Cake Velvet Ice Coffee and a Skinny Latte along with a turkey sausage sandwich. The food and drinks were phonemenal. I will be back for breakfast and lunch. All of my items cost me $26.95, some say this is pricey, but, I have spent more at Starbucks."

"This is a great place. The staff goes out of their way to help, and I love the Jingle Bells coffee and other flavored choices on a given day. The food is good and you have to try the biegnets. I first tried the coffee and beignets in New Orleans and was excited to see them come here. The atmosphere is inviting and not overly loud, like many coffee shops that blare the music. You can enjoy good coffee, food, and conversation here. I highly recommend it!"

"Just about a week ago I was staying in the French quarter in Nola and wanted some coffee so I looked on maps and found a PJ's Coffee and decided to try it out. It was absolutely phenomenal and I thought "man I wish these were near us in Texas." Lo and behold I checked and it turns out there is one ~6 minutes from us! Unfortunately this news is bittersweet as this location was a noticeably and unfortunately less pleasant experience than at the one we visited in Nola just a week ago. To start with I could not locate the price of beignets anywhere at all despite multiple pieces of signage so had to ask about the prices, and I was told that 3 was $5 and 6 was $10.50 (what, why would higher quantity actually cost more per pastry???) But due to this I just went ahead and ordered 3 as well as a velvet ice (which I had also gotten on my visit to the Nola location). The employees were young, and seemed nice and friendly enough, and I don't want to give them too hard of a time, but after ordering they just kind of seemed to be confused and unsure of what they were doing and sort of lost despite not having a particularly large amount of business at the time. Our order came out one item at a time and after getting the last item what I received was unlike any beignets I have ever had, as rather than being dusted with powdered sugar they were coated in thick heaps of it on all sides. There's multiple pieces of signage around the shop that should make it obvious this is not how they should look to the employees so this seemed really bizarre. The velvet ice also wasn't as good, rather than being one smooth soft consistency throughout it seemed like too much ice may have been used as it was almost more slush or icee-like than I had previously experienced, and noticeably less flavorful. Overall I got the impression that there's a lack of proper training and instruction at this location that is stopping it from being as wonderful as it could be, or maybe I just caught a bad time on a bad day, who knows!"
