"Don’t let the grocery store location fool you, this is great barbecue! True Texas BBQ is grocery giant H-E-B’s foray into the barbecue world, and it’s really amazing. All the meats are smoked in-house, and are delicious. Their baked potatoes topped with different meats are extra filling. The sides are great, too, with rotating seasonal desserts being an extra treat. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pro tip: come earlier rather than later because they will often sell out of the more popular items. My friends said : Best BBQ Meal in Texas ! We have friends who live nearby this HEB grocery store and the True Texas BBQ cafe located here is their go-to place for BBQ lunch. We ate here twice in a week visit because it was outstanding! The brisket sandwiches are extremely good! They also have a daily special posted which is a "can't go wrong" order. DELICIOUS ! The sides are very good too and very fresh. The cafe is in the HEB supermarket so it does get busy but we were always able to get a seat. HEB is also an outstanding grocery store! Makes us want to live nearby! TRY IT !"
