1700° Steakhouse

"My husband and I decided to try 1700 for our anniversary dinner, everything was amazing! Beautiful restaurant located at Paso del Norte hotel. Lights are dimmed so it makes the place even more romantic, they set up our table with a champagne glass each to toast to our anniversary and my friend also called in to order a bottle for us which they also set up along with a passed down msg from him! The way they start you off with each course is fantastic and the food is amazing! Customer service is top notch! Our waitress Denisse was super sweet and her recommendations hit the spot! My husband had the tamarind pork chop and I had the filet mignon and for dessert we had the milk & honey along with the triple chocolate mousse! Everything from the moment you walked in till the time you left was perfect!"

"Disappointed they can’t cook steaks correctly. My husbands $100 porterhouse came super thin with almost no filet-so thin 1/10 inch that it crumbled when we touched it! My mid-rare filet came medium. The waiter vanished multiple times for 20 minutes so didn’t notice we weren’t eating. He should have asked us to look at/cut into our steak before he vanished. I expect more from this supposed high-end restaurant, especially when we pay a $1500 bill. Waiter and cook should have rejected that steak in the back before ever bringing it out!!! Zero quality control! Where’s the executive chef?? Big no!!"

"This has been the first El Paso Steakhouse in which I am genuinely satisfied with their food. The A5 Japanese Wagyu was such a delicacy with outstanding marbling boosting in so many flavor profiles. Do not get me wrong, you do not need the Wagyu cut to get a good steak here. The bone-in ribeye was extremely marbled and cooked perfectly to a medium state as asked. To have even gotten the food cooked to our requests is simply magnificent. It truly opens your eyes knowing that you do not have to go across the border or out of the city to get a good steak. Truly a gem in our eyes. Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Will return to this location for future events from now on. P.S. The Creme brûlée was spectacular 10/10"

"I can't even begin to imagine explain how impressed we were with the food and service. The ribeye steak is so flavorful and tender. Roasted veggies were top notch and the crème brûlée was exquisite! Must try!"

"What a wonderful environment to enjoy a delicious meal in a lavish setting! Jason was our waiter, and he was an excellent waiter, striking the perfect balance between taking great care of us but allowing us to have an intimate dinner together. The atmosphere is superb."
